Team Updates

Atom
The Emperors Hockey School has seen lots of new players of all ages and we can certainly boast one of the best Atoms teams for the 2007 season. Most players have been attending our hockey school sessions for at least 6 months and are showing great skating ability. The team will be extremely competitive and we look forward to fun season.

Pee Wee
We are keen to highlight some key players in this age group and that starts with goalie Stefan Mirus. With good goal tending, you can beat any team, and this is the foundation for the PeeWee level. We have a good base for a very exciting team that will improve with each outing. The coaching provided at this level is very dedicated and all players will definitely get a good workout every time. These guys will come together perfectly.

Bantam
At times registrations for teams can be hard with age groups up a division, etc, and we wish to advise that 6 players from the Canterbury Bantams team will be joining forces with the Emperors for the 2007 season. These players are highly skilled and are experienced at state level and are close to achieving national level status in the short years ahead. This is a great boost for our club. The Emperors Ice Hockey Club wish a warm welcome to the players from Canterbury for our first season.

Midget
With midget being the highest level under the NSWIHA banner, this level is tough and fast with some of the best and most creative hockey, showcasing great skating ability and crafty plays. There is no shortage of this with the list of players signing up this year with the Emperors. This team is currently competing in the Sydney Ice Arena 4 on 4 summer competition, and are extremely competitive and very anxious to compete with the other teams in the winter competition. Watch these guys closely because they are sure going to surprise a lot of people.

Senior B/C
Recreational hockey is the place to be for a lot of fun and fitness. We currently have 1 complete senior team and that may grow to two depending on registration day. The senior league is by far the biggest with the most teams entering, so you'll get your fair share competition at this level. Stay tuned for more information as we may be fielding another senior team if demand calls for.

Womens
We anticipated generating interest for a Womens team for the 2008 season but we may well even enter a team in the 2008 season. A lot of interest and many keen ladies wishing to compete around NSW have seen many existing teams filled and some keen ladies still looking for a spot. Register your interest with our registrations officer and you may very well be playing with the Emperors in 2007.

Ice Time Confirmation
We wish to advise all members the following training schedule for 2007.
Atoms, Peewees and Bantams will all take the ice from 7pm to 830pm on Tuesday evenings commencing March 6, 2007.
Midget and Senior grade players will take the ice from 845pm to 945pm on Tuesday evenings commencing March 6, 2007.
Please also note that Emperors Hockey School caters for all ages and is offered on Wednesday afternoon from 545pm to 715pm and on Sunday mornings from 8am to 10am.

Stay tuned for more information as we draw closer to our first face off for the year.
Hail Emperors.
