Hello hockey players and welcome to the 2008 season, and best wishes for
the New Year.

So far you have most likely seen some new information being posted on
the website. Keep checking back as there is plenty more information
to come.

The Emperors hope to be fielding teams in the following divisions:

Atoms x 2 Aged 11 & under at 31^stDec of registration year

Peewee x 1 Aged 13 & under at 31^stDec of registration year

Bantam x 1 Aged 15 & under at 31^stDec of registration year

Midget x 1 Aged 18 & under at 31^stDec of registration year

Senior x 2 Open Age

Training start dates have not been finalised. We plan to have this information
con firmed in the next week or two. Practices will be held on Tuesday
and Wednesday nights similar to last year’s arrangement with the
full ice rotation for Peewee, Bantam and Midget grades. Senior
practice s will most likely be held on Wednesday nights.

The coaching positions have not yet been determined however it is safe to
say that we do have some new coaches coming onboard this year which
will help to expand the clubs coaching base. With this in mind we
hope to see some new tactics and skills development for all players
this year.

There will some level 1 coaches courses being run this year in early march.
So if you are interested in learning more about the game from the
coaching perspective, please let us know. Your coaching certificate
wil l certify you to coach or assist coach a team or even help out at
the Emperors hockey school. Everyone is encouraged and your support
would be appreciated.

Please note the skills assessment dates have now been posted on the website
as well as the registration dates. Please note these important dates
in your diary.

The Emperors will also be running an in-house Parents and senior
beginner ’s competition during the season. More information will be
made available shortly.

And finally, we hope to have all the summer hockey stats for the summer
hockey being run at the SIA updated shortly.
